Our motto: “First change, then others will change.”
Women of Hope was started in 2008 and founded by Judith Kiwanuka and it is her heart for the single mothers and children. They began as a small group of 4 women and now Women of Hope has grown to over 1000 women in 12 communities and two countries. Many of the women walk miles just to attend these weekly meetings. In the meetings, they sing, dance, exchange gifts, celebrate, and pray with one another. They share their life stories, give encouragement and praise God for what He has done for them during the week.
This growing community of women learns to persevere despite their circumstances. Most are single mothers and are HIV/AIDS positive. They choose to take their eyes off their pain and focus their hope on their Savior Jesus Christ.

Women of Hope Retreat
Annually, the Women of Hope celebrate what God has done for them with a retreat. Representatives from all 12 groups attend, along with government officials. Each group performs a short skit, dance or song. A feast is prepared for all to enjoy.
This year the WOH retreat is June 23rd. They are expecting over 1000 women to attend along with representatives of the government. The budget for this year is $4500. USD. This will pay for the rentals of tents, chairs, tables, food, water, transportation, gas for the electric generator for the sound system, servers of the meal, etc. You may contribute to this year’s WOH Retreat. Go to the Donate page and designate WOH Retreat Fund.
Matt. 25:35, 40 “…I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in….”The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
