Update 2023

There are now 3 schools run by Divine Holistic Ministries: Preschool to Primary 6 at the Njeru campus with over 120 children enrolled, Preschool to Primary 4 in Butema with over 130 children enrolled, and Preschool to Primary 3 in Maligita, with around 40 children.

June 30th, 2023

The 10th anniversary of Divine Full Gospel Fellowship Church was celebrated with a marching band, parade, presentations from several Women of Hope groups, the Divine Community Christian School children, testimonies from Orphan Sponsorship children that are now in nursing, law school and hospitality/chef school, messages from the pastors of the 3 other Divine Full Gospel Fellowship Churches, praises from local government officials, and a wonderful celebration meal.

On July 2nd the celebration continued with the main Njeru church , (in the new building) and the 3 branches.  Praises and shouts of Ebeneezer were lifted in thanksgiving for what God has accomplished and what He will continue to do.

2020: We have a well that is serving the Butema Preschool and the local community! Praise God for His provisions and blessings to those who made this possible by your gifts.

The potty was upgraded to help the special needs members of the daycare.  Also, there was a ramp added to facilitate those with mobility issues.

June 2018

Women of Hope 2018 Retreat was a great success with over 1500 Women of Hope present from 14 different groups in surrounding communities.

It was held on property that joins the DHM Njeru campus. Many government officials attended.

June 2018

A short-term missions group from New Beginnings UMC, South Carolina came to help prepare for the retreat, love on children, read books, organize sponsorship children files, and encourage staff.

2020 UPDATE: Short term mission trip scheduled for June 2020 canceled per Ugandan government precautions due to COVID 19.

Plans for the 10 year anniversary of the birth of Divine Holistic Ministries. Make plans to attend this monumental event.

2020 UPDATE: All retreats and 10 Aniversary celebrations have been canceled due to the COVID 19 restrictions imposed by the Ugandan Government. Plans for 2021 TBA.

We are always looking for more sponsors. The opportunity is available 24/7, all year long. Please go to the Orphan page, Orphan Sponsorship, and Donate page for more details.  There are over 200  children in the program and we need more sponsors!

Short-Term Mission Trip June:

Volunteer opportunities DHM:

We will have long and short term mission trip opportunities:

2 weeks to a month or more.

There is a need for:

  • teachers in the preschool
  • builders for the new preschool in Butema
  • mechanics to teach in the vocational training classes
  • seamstresses
  • bible teachers
  • worship leaders
  • musicians
  • soccer camp leaders
  • administration staff to assist in the DHM office
  • medical staff
  • loving arms to cuddle children
  • strong backs for manual labor
  • you name it
  • you can be of help and encouragement

Trips are planned for June during the non-rainy season in Uganda.

June is when they have the Women of Hope Retreat when many hands are needed to assist in this huge celebration.

We need:

  • your prayer support. We desire to serve with integrity, loyalty, and with our whole hearts, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and bring glory to His name through the work of this ministry to better the lives of others in need.
  • sponsors for orphans, youth, and widows
  • people willing to make presentations to their church or organization about DHM and recruit more sponsors
  •  people willing to sell and purchase Women of Hope crafts (all proceeds go back to DHM for the Women of Hope)
  • people willing to volunteer time for administration of Divine Holistic Ministries Charities, Inc. in the capacity of accounting, blogging, advertising, website maintenance
